I know that I’ve made a lot of posts on this topic, but it continues to be a strange thing to witness as I’m walking across campus. I’ll probably stop writing about it when the freshmen start going to class instead.
At any rate, today I was talking to some uperclassmen in the English Corner and one of the seniors said that she enjoyed the training during her freshman year because it gave them an opportunity to talk to army officers whose lives were very different from their own. I don’t think that’s the purpose of it. (Afterall, none of the other students have mentioned that benefit.) But it’s certainly something very valuable.
